1.What this site stores on your machine

Nothing. As of the date at the top of this page, opsby.vn sets no cookies, writes nothing into your browser’s local storage, and has no behavioural measurement tool installed.

When you open a page, your browser also sends no requests to any third-party server: the typeface is built into our own server when the site is built rather than fetched from Google, the images are served from this domain, and the structured data is embedded in the page itself.

This is measured, not merely intended — how we measured it is in the last section.

2.What a cookie is, and why this site does not need one yet

A cookie is a small piece of data a website asks your browser to hold, so that it can recognise you next time. It earns its place when a site has to remember something between visits: that you are signed in, what is in a basket, which language you chose.

opsby.vn is a product website. There is no sign-in, no basket, and nothing to remember between visits. So it does not need a cookie yet — not even a strictly necessary one.

Signing in happens at app.opsby.vn. That is a separate system with its own session cookie, and it is not shared with this website.

3.Why there is no cookie banner

Because there is nothing to ask you about. A consent banner on a site that sets no cookies is a control that controls nothing — it interrupts you so the site can look like other sites.

We have also not borrowed the European approach wholesale. There, a site writing to or reading from your device is enough to require consent. Vietnamese law asks a different question: whether personal data is being processed. Different question, different answer.

When we do turn on a measurement tool and your consent is required for it, a request will appear — and it will be a real question, not a single “Accept” button.

4.When we turn measurement on

Every website eventually needs to know how people find it and what they read. We will need that too. When we get there, this is how we intend to do it:

• Update this page first — naming the tool, what it collects, how long it is kept and where.
• Group things into four categories and say which are on: needed for the site to work · measurement · remembering your preferences · advertising.
• Ask before collecting anything where the law requires consent, rather than collecting first and papering over it later.
• Offer three real choices: accept, reject everything non-essential, and choose category by category. No option dimmed to make it harder to pick.
• Provide a way back to change your mind at any time, without having to clear your browser data.

5.One thing worth being clear about

Some measurement tools set no cookies at all. That does not mean they process nothing about you — they still receive your IP address, your browser, the page you came from and the path you take through the site.

So when we do add measurement, we will not be using the argument that a tool needs no consent because it sets no cookies. The right question is whether the information identifies a particular person, not how it happens to be stored.

6.How we checked all this

We would rather you did not have to take our word for it. What section 1 states was measured two independent ways, against the build actually serving opsby.vn:

• Reading the source — looking for every instruction that writes a cookie or writes to browser storage, and checking the dependency list for any measurement package.
• Measuring real responses — issuing dozens of requests across different pages and checking whether the server sends any cookie back, including on the error page and to automated clients.
• Loading the site in a real browser and reading its cookie store afterwards.
